Community Christian Academy holds wrestling fundraiser for JROTC program

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A few local pro wrestlers were in the CSRA on Saturday.

It was part of a fundraiser for the Ambassador Challenge at Community Christian Academy on Columbia Road in Martinez.

Some of their teachers were even wrestlers. The proceeds went to the Community Christian Academy’s JROTC program.

One of the parent volunteers spoke about the preparation and build-up to the matches.

“As soon as posters went up, the countdown started. They’ve really done a great job. we’ve had a couple of wrestling matches during lunch to get them all excited and built up for it,” said Kim Hadden, event volunteer.

She says the JROTC recently competed in a competition and took home a few awards.
