Recycling tires and electronics in Richmond County

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - People in Richmond County could recycle tires and electronics for free at the Richmond County landfill this weekend.

It happens every few months, allowing people to keep the streets clean of waste. We caught up with one person who was there.

“In my area of Richmond County and stuff, people seem to like to dump trash and tires and things like that on the side of the road, and it’s expensive to get rid of those things,” said Josph Theriault.

Theriault also says he picks up trash and tires to keep the community clean and encourages others to do the same.
