BRUNSWICK, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An alleged drug trafficking operation has led to dozens of arrests in a case based out of coastal Georgia in Glynn County.

The FBI says 55 of 56 people have been caught and indicted following a raid. Multiple agencies were involved.

Suspects in Savannah mall shooting appear in court, awaiting trial

All six of the suspected Oglethorpe Mall shooters were in court this week as their case moves toward a trial.

Federal authorities say the group was distributing meth, fentanyl and other drugs throughout the area. The suspects face multiple charges.

“Our investigation shows that members of this group were traveling to Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, and Jacksonville to source these drugs. Additionally, one of the indicted subjects communicated with a supplier in China, having drugs shipped directly to Brunswick,” said Brian Ozden, assistant special agent with FBI Atlanta.

The remaining suspect named in the indictment is expected to turn themselves in to authorities within a few days.
