Ga. partnership links independent filmmakers to resources

DORAVILLE, Ga. - A new partnership in Georgia is helping independent filmmakers create their projects.

Two Georgia film producers have moved into new offices in Doraville. Braveheart Entertainment and Autumn Bailey Ford Entertainment are partnering with Assembly Atlanta, owned by Gray Media, which is the parent company of News 12.

Cotton farmers donated socks to the CSRA Economic Opportunity Authority to help people experiencing homelessness stay warm this winter.

The goal is to give indie filmmakers better access to resources, including from Universal Production Services.

“This is the reason why we created Assembly Studios. To be a place for every type of content creator, large or small,” said Justin Campbell, vice president of studio operations at Assembly Atlanta.

Former Ga. news anchor Savannah Louie wins ‘Survivor’ season 49

A former Atlanta News First anchor and reporter was crowned the victor of “Survivor” season 49 on Wednesday.

“I’ve been looking for something like this for the past 15 years,” said Autumn Bailey-Ford, producer.

While the offices are new, the companies are not. Autumn Bailey-Ford alone has more than two decades in the industry producing independent films, most recently the Dennis Quaid project “On a Wing and a Prayer.”
