New images of North Augusta Athletics Complex shown at board meeting

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - We have an update about the progress of North Augusta High School’s Athletics Complex.

At the Aiken County Public School District Meeting Tuesday, new images and renderings were shown.

The baseball and softball fields are currently being worked on.

James Brown Arena is gone as new construction gets closer

The building has been fully demolished — even the old ticket booths are gone.

Leaders said the turning lanes on Knobcone Avenue have been installed — but not finished.

A scoreboard sizing issue was addressed so they will be in line with the boards from other schools.

Leaders said the complex is expected to finish in 2026.
