Grovetown man accused of child porn sentenced to 60 years
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A Grovetown veteran who was arrested in September and charged with child pornography was sentenced on Wednesday.
Eric Longacre pleaded guilty to 28 counts of possession of child pornography, according to officials.
A judge sentenced him to 60 years, with 40 to be served in confinement.
Grovetown investigators assigned to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children task force had received information that Longacre, 40, was involved in the possession of child pornography, according to authorities.
Man wanted after punching pregnant woman in the stomach multiple times, officials say
The Allendale Police Department is looking for a 21-year-old man after he punched a pregnant woman in the stomach multiple times.

The defense argued Eric Longacre’s military background and clean record should warrant bond, but Judge Fleming disagreed.
“The nature of the crime should be a threat to society, so I am not granting bond,” said Judge Fleming.
In October, a judge denied bond for Longacre and decided he was a flight risk.
Investigators say they found 19 different devices with more than 100,000 files of child porn and now, his charges have been upgraded.
The GBI tracked down Longacre through online tips.
“Got a tip his phone number uploaded child pornography to a technology base on at least five different occasions,” said Senior District Attorney Amber Brantley.
