Chandler Law Firm hosts Fit for School giveaway in Graniteville

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Chandler Law Firm hosted its Fit for School event Saturday in Graniteville, distributing free school supplies, haircuts, food and health screenings to students in the area.

The firm said the event is part of a year-long effort to ensure students have what they need before returning to school.

Everett Chandler, attorney and counselor at Chandler Law Firm, said demand at the event was high.

“Even in the back the clothes that are being given, we’re wiped out — I mean the shoes — and so that’s exactly why we did it, because we knew there was a need and unfortunately there is, and thank God for community partners who believe in our young people and the opportunity to give,” Chandler said.

The event also included entertainment for children.
