Delta, American Airlines boost flights for Masters week

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Delta Air Lines and American Airlines are offering additional flights to and from Augusta as the city gears up for an influx of visitors during Masters week.

Delta is offering new nonstop flights to Augusta Regional Airport, increasing seat capacity during the tournament from 1,200 to nearly 4,000 seats on peak days.

The trail from a Florida rocket launch was visible from Augusta on Wednesday morning.

There will be up to 18 daily flights to Augusta, including new service from Los Angeles, Nashville and Newark.

  • April 5–13, 2026: Upgraded to Delta mainline, 4–5 daily round trips
• Austin (AUS) – Augusta (AGS):

  • April 5–13, 2026: Once daily on a mix of Delta mainline and Delta Connection (each way)

The airline will also offer flights to and from Nashville (BNA), New Jersey (EWR) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU).

Delta has also introduced some in-flight Masters entertainment content that can be viewed on seatback screens and personal electronic devices like laptops and smartphones.

The offerings include:

• “A Walk Through Augusta National’s Second Nine,” which is exclusively offered through Delta.
• Tournament films including “2019 Masters: A Sunday Unlike Any Other” and “2025 Masters Official Film.”
• Episodes of “Hallowed Grounds: The Story of Augusta National.”

Foreign airlines cancel flights from Ga. to Mideast hubs

Passengers at the Atlanta airport faced uncertainty Monday as airlines canceled flights bound for the Middle East amid ongoing airspace closures in the region.

Augusta Regional’s other commercial carrier, American Airlines, will also expand its flight offerings, featuring up to 22 daily flights.

Key direct routes include Phoenix (PHX), Austin (AUS), Charlotte (CLT), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Boston (BOS), New York (LGA), Miami (MIA), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL) and Washington-Reagan (DCA).
