2 charged in July shooting death of homeless man

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder over the summer of a homeless man.

Carl Dednam Jr., 41, died in a July 13 shooting at 4202 Windsor Springs Road, Lot 110.

Ga. high court rejects appeal in dad’s 2020 Augusta murder

The Georgia Supreme Court turned down the appeal of Kendrick Green in the March 2020 murder of an Augusta father as he left work at the Popeye’s in Daniel Village.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that arrest warrants were issued Monday for two suspects:

• Fabian Tremaine Lee, 29, of Hephzibah, on a murder charge
• Tyeisha Rhonda Manning, 30, of Hephzibah, on a charge of tampering with evidence

31-year-old man charged with sexual battery, obstruction

Richmond County deputies have arrested a 31-year-old man after a sexual battery incident on Sunday.

Lee has been incarcerated at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center since Sept. 18 on unrelated charges. The charge of murder has now been added.

Manning was arrested Monday on James Drive and committed to jail, deputies said.

“Every life in our community matters, and justice will always remain a priority. Our investigators worked tirelessly on this case to ensure that those responsible were identified and held accountable,” Sheriff Eugene Brantley said.

Woman arrested after stabbing leaves 1 injured on Ethan Way

A 20-year-old woman was arrested on Sunday after a stabbing incident earlier this month.

He specifically pointed out the dedication of Investigator Tyler Steerman in bringing the case to justice.
