3 arrested, 1 injured in shooting during a fight in Hephzibah

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - We now have the booking photos of the three suspects who were arrested after a fight turned into a shooting in Hephzibah last week, according to authorities.

On April 3, Richmond County deputies say they responded to a gunshot wound at 2201 Georgia Highway 88 at the Gas Pro around 7 p.m.

Deputies say when they arrived on scene, they found one victim in a vehicle with a single gunshot wound to the back.

Central EMS was on scene providing aid and subsequently transported to the hospital along with his mother who was the initial caller, according to authorities.

Deputies say there was also who was a passenger in the vehicle, who stated he was a witness to the shooting.

The passenger stated that he had been in an argument with his girlfriend at the 2100 block of McBean Road when she left to call her family members, according to the report.

The passenger told authorities when the family members, all armed, arrived an altercation ensued.

He said he heard multiple gunshots and realized the victim had been shot, authorities say.

Then all the family members left the scene in a gray GMC Sierra, according to the report.

The passenger told authorities he then attempted to drive the victim to the hospital but stopped at the Gas Pro gas station.

Deputies say after speaking with the passenger, they investigated the scene on McBean Road and found shell casings.

Dawson Wilson, 18, Devan Wilson, 18, and Caleb Wilson, 17, have both been charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of possession of a weapon during a crime, according to jail records.
