Sydney Stallworth
Anchor/Reporter
Atlanta, GA

Sydney Stallworth is an Emmy-winning news anchor and reporter with a proven record of leading breaking news coverage, innovating digital journalism, and building lasting trust with viewers. She anchors weekend evenings and reports Monday through Thursday.
Born and raised in Florida, Sydney couldn’t be more excited to join the Atlanta News First team. She says, “Having grown up making many road trips to the city to visit loved ones, I know firsthand how special Atlanta’s culture is and how incredible its people are. It feels great to have the opportunity to live and work in such an exceptional city!”
Before joining Atlanta News First, Sydney spent four years anchoring and reporting at KSDK in St. Louis, where she developed signature content, launched original digital programming, and covered critical events, including the region’s catastrophic flooding in July 2022 and the aftermath of the devastating May 16, 2025 tornado. Her work has held local leaders accountable and inspired real community action—earning Sydney four Emmy nominations, a regional Emmy Award, a Missouri Broadcasters Award, and the community honor of being named a recipient of the inaugural Black Girls Who Rock St. Louis award.
Before her time in St. Louis, Sydney quickly rose through the ranks at WZDX News in Huntsville, AL, moving from digital reporter to primary evening anchor. There, she led wall-to-wall election night and storm coverage, created new mental health programming during the pandemic, and covered powerful stories tied to Black history and the opioid crisis.
Sydney earned her B.A. in Media, Journalism, and Film (with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism) from Howard University in Washington, DC.
During her free time, Sydney enjoys reading some of ‘BookTok’s’ bestsellers, trying out new spots to grab a bite, and catching up on her favorite shows! To connect with Sydney, email her at Sydney.Stallworth@wanf.com.
