2 Aiken County Sheriff’s Office employees demoted for inappropriate conduct
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two Aiken County Sheriff’s Office employees have been demoted for allegedly engaging in an inappropriate sexual relationship while on duty, according to officials.
Authorities report that Sheriff Marty Sawyer took action to demote the employees after discovering their inappropriate conduct last month at the ACSO headquarters located on Hampton Avenue.
Father charged in Orangeburg shootout that killed infant, another man
A father is now being charged in connection with an Orangeburg shooting that resulted in the death of his infant son and another man.

Officials have confirmed that a training coordinator for 911 dispatch and a road patrol sergeant have been demoted. Neither individual held a supervisory position over the other.
The sergeant has been reassigned as a deputy, and both have received a pay cut.
Both employees have been suspended and placed on probation for six months.
