Orangeburg County deputies arrest man in 2023 murder
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - An Orangeburg County man is facing several charges after deputies arrested him in connection with a 2023 Holly Hill murder.
Antonio Nelson, 32, is charged with murder, grand larceny and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Officials say deputies were notified of a deceased person at a Schwartz Drive home on Sept. 14, 2023.
Upon arrival, they discovered the victim had been stabbed to death.

The victim was identified as 72-year-old Daniel Devine, according to the affidavit.
Deputies also accused Nelson of stealing Devine’s car after the murder.
Nelson was taken into custody Friday afternoon.
Sheriff Leroy Ravenell praised and thanked the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the North Charleston Police Department for their assistance in the investigation.
“This investigation has been a lengthy one that saw several agencies involved in an effort to bring this person to justice,” the sheriff said. “My investigators were relentless in their pursuit of justice.”
