AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Augusta leaders are inviting residents and community members to share their thoughts as Augusta updates its zoning regulations for the first time since 1963.

Zoning regulates how properties within different geographic zones can be developed and used, including what types of buildings are allowed and what activities can take place.

City leaders say public feedback is an important part of ensuring future development reflects the community’s vision and long-term planning goals.

“This process reflects Augusta, Georgia Government’s commitment to transparency, meaningful community engagement, and thoughtful planning,” said Director Adleasia Cameron.
