Zyon Khalifa wins Democratic primary for U.S. House District 2

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Zyon Khalifa will be on the ballot this November, looking to unseat U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson.

Khalifa defeated David Robinson in Tuesday’s runoff election in the Democratic primary.

Khalifa ran on recognizing the strengths of small towns across the state and addressing the challenges those communities face.

He will move on to face Wilson in the Nov. 3 general election. Wilson, the Republican incumbent, is seeking his 14th term in the U.S. House.
