Woman arrested after argument leads to stabbing to Martinez
MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 27-year-old woman has been arrested after a stabbing in Martinez, according to authorities.
Deputies with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office says Journae Young was arrested on Sunday in connection to the incident.
An incident report states the stabbing happened on the 400 block of Bloedel Reserve Way around 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning.

According to the report, while on scene, deputies found a female victim laying on the ground with a stab wound to the stomach area.
The victim stated Young stabbed her, according to report.
Witnesses on scene told deputies Young was intoxicated and the victim was trying to get her inside the home, according to the report.
Deputies say witnesses stated the two began arguing and went inside the home. After a few minutes, the victim came outside and said she had been stabbed.
Local deputies arrest man accused of shooting at car with baby inside
A man has been arrested after being accused of firing shots at a car with a baby inside, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

According to deputies, witnesses stated the victim and Young began arguing when they were at a bar in downtown Augusta.
The victim was taken to Wellstar MCG to be treated for her injuries, according to the incident report.
According to Columbia County jail bookings, Young is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
