Victims ID’d in crash involving dump truck in Orangeburg County
ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two people have died after a crash on Interstate 95 in Orangeburg County on Tuesday morning.
Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash happened near mile marker 87 at 12:45 a.m.
The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has identified the victims as Kyle Green, 32, and Sara E. Greene, 33, of Fuquay Varina, N.C., died on the scene.
Their child was also in the car but survived the crash, according to the coroner.

We’re learning new details about a police chase that crossed state lines on Monday morning.

According to troopers, a 1987 dump truck and a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox were both traveling north on I-95 when the driver of the Equinox struck the back of the dump truck.
The driver and front passenger of the Equinox died on the scene due to their injuries, troopers say. The back passenger of the Equinox was transported to the hospital for their injuries.
Both deaths were due to multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death is accident, according to the coroner.
Troopers say the driver of the dump truck was not injured in the crash.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
