AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Aiken-Augusta Swim League is no stranger to success. The club has had a countless number of its alumn go on to to swim collegiately and even compete at the olympic trials.
This season is a special one, because for the first time in five years, they'll send three swimmers to the Junior National Championships.
Mike Jescke, Zak Griffin and Anna Summers are heading to Greensboro, NC, where they will compete against the top swimmers in the country.
These guys are excited to represent their club on the national stage. They're not just going there to have fun, they want to place at least in the top 25 in their events. They feel well-prepared.
"During the summer, a lot of the college athletes come back and train with us. So it gives us some people to train against. It makes us work a lot harder. It's nice having some fast college swimmers train here." Anna Summers said.
The meet begins this Thursday and runs through Saturday.
