AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- Masters Monday wasn't a total washout as there was still plenty of golf before the sirens sounded.
Still, we wanted to experience Augusta National Golf Club with people who aren't so experienced in it -- first-time patrons.
First-timer Geoff Campbell plays the Masters lottery every year. This year, he hit the jackpot.
"When I got it last summer, didn't quite know what to think, and now that you're here, it's like a surreal moment for me. This is awesome," Campbell said.
It's even more awesome he gets to share it with his dad, his brother, and his father-in-law.
"The grass is ridiculous. The scenery is unbelievable," Campbell said. "Everything you hear so far is true."
They are from Toronto, Canada -- or Trawna as the locals call it -- where this winter was especially brutal.
"Minus 20, minus 30 with the windchill. Minus 30 degrees Celsius with the windchill," Campbell said.
They sure weren't sad to leave those temperatures --.or even their cell phones -- behind.
"You don't appreciate it, so if your phone and all that's gone so you walk around and get to talk about it after," Campbell said.
And they'll be talking about it like that time Tiger Woods walked right by them.
Or when they saw Bubba Watson or the time they tried a pimento cheese sandwich for the first time.
This is a dynamite day for them, and not just because they're here. It's because they're here together, experiencing it together.
"This is one of those bucket list items," Campbell said.
Meaning this lottery win is the best kind.
