EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Young athletes learned from one of the best hurdlers to ever compete for Team USA.

World and Olympic 400 meter hurdle record holder, Kevin Young was featured in a clinic held by Lane 4 Track Club. This afternoon, it was all about the basics as the youngsters learned the mechanics to become more effecient hurdlers.

For Young, who's had his day in the sun, it's all about getting the next generation ready.

"I always wanted to be that one person to pay it forward and to be able to be years later, one youngster say "Kev, when you came to Lakeside High School and we did a training I was all over the play with my hurdles. But I stuck to it because I believed in you and now look. Because I tell kids, I'm taking all credit for all young athletes, who go off to do great things," Kevin Young said.

Young's 400 meter hurdle record was set at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and has still yet to be broken.
