But sometimes, even the most talented get side-tracked. Over summer break, Williams, caught up with the wrong crowd, was charged with drug possession.
"I let everybody down around me. But they picked me back up and told me that doesn't define who I am as a person," Williams said.
Disappointment and anger turned into resolve, as Williams was determined to not let this setback derail his dreams.
"My coaches and my family say that if I want to take my anger out on the court, give it my all and put in extra work. Because now I have to work extra harder because of the situation," Williams said.
The senior guard is still one of the area's leading scorers, as he's averaging over 20 points per game.
Williams thinks this season is going to be a special one.
"I have a legit chance to get a ring this year as a senior. That would make my coach around me happy and the people around me happy," Williams said.
He hopes his new found focus, will continue to elevate his team's play.
