AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Just before the break for the holidays, the Augusta men went on the road and suffered a disappointing loss to North Georgia. How would they respond became the question with the layoff.
They answered that with probably their best outing in a couple of years in a home route of Clayton State. They showed quickness, tenancity, agressiveness and every other adjective to be used to describe a good basketball team.
There was also a post game get together with the three seniors that may have set the tone.
"We had a little meeting, coach, me, Deane (Williams) and Aaron (Byrd). He met with us after we lost to North Georgia, so it was on us to step it up and I guess set the stone, and the little guys have followed." Tyvez Monroe said.
Jags also changed up their offense putting Deane Williams more inside, and it's freeing up others to work off him.
Jags are back home tomorrow night when flagler comes to town.
