The Pacers are now 17-1 on the year and 11-1 in league play. The Bearcats fall to 6-12 overall and 5-7 in PBC play.

Head coach Mark Vanderslice's team was led by a near triple-double effort from Ty'lik Evans. He registered a game-high 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. For good measure, he tallied a game-best five steals.

Xzavier Barmore and Doniel Dean each added 18 markers. Barmore distributed eight assists in the contest. Robert Hill totaled 10 points and eight boards while Faison Brock chipped in nine points and five rebounds.

USC Aiken found itself trailing 15-6 just 4:21 into the game. However, Evans took a pass from Barmore and promptly nailed a three-point shot. Down by seven, Dean took a pass from Jules and hit a jumper from distance, making it 20-16. Barmore connected on a lay-up and then canned a three-ball for a 21-20 edge.

The teams battled back and forth for the next few moments with neither team gaining much of an advantage. Evans connected on a three-pointer for a 40-38 lead, but the Pacers were outscored 11-2 over the final 4:28 and trailed 49-42 at the break.

USC Aiken stormed out of halftime to knot the score at 50-50 on six straight points from Hill. Trailing 54-51, Darius Bell hit a pair of free throws and tallied a put-back for a 55-54 advantage. Barmore's three-ball on the ensuing possession ensured the home team would not trail the rest of the way.

Lander pulled within two at 61-59, but Dean connected from long distance off a pass from Barmore at the 11:31 mark for a 64-59 lead. A 7-2 spurt pushed the margin to double digits at 71-61 with 8:22 to go.

The Bearcats cut the deficit to six at 85-79 before Dean buried two free throws with 1:27 to play. A steal by Barmore resulted in Evans making one charity toss. Brock garnered a defensive rebound and Hill threw down a thunderous dunk for a 90-79 lead with less than 30 seconds to go en route to the 10-point victory.

USC Aiken hit 33-of-76 from the floor (43.4 percent), including 12-of-36 from downtown (33.3 percent). The team snagged 41 rebounds. Vanderslice's team dished out 21 assists on the 33 made field goals.

The Pacers return to action Wednesday, Jan. 30, when they travel to Augusta at 7:30 p.m.
