Wrens' Mayor Hadden to leave office

WRENS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Mayor Lester Hadden will be stepping down from his position in Wrens, Georgia, according to the city's Facebook page.

The acting mayor will be Mayor Pro-Tem Johnny Rabun until an election can be set.

"The city will be following normal processes and procedures for an upcoming Call For Election, Qualifying Dates, and Special Election,"

The city thanks Mayor Hadden for all his work and service, and they wish him continued success.

It's unclear why the mayor is stepping down.
