AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Tabitha Moss, the woman charged with lying to investigators about whether or not she had or didn't have a child, has been indicted on five counts of making a false report to police.
Moss was granted bond in a seperate charge in July after she told police she had a miscarriage only to later change the story.
Investigators claimed Moss got rid of the child because her boyfriend may have not been the father. They say Moss' boyfriend requested a DNA test upon the birth of the child, which they believe was Moss' motive to dispose of the baby.
But according to the indictments, investigators now believe many portions of her story were just outright lies.
The five-count indictment says Moss lied about placing the remains of a fetus into a bag and giving it to a friend to dispose of, she lied about flushing a fetus down the toilet, she lied about saying she was not pregnant and faked the pregnancy, she lied about leaving the fetus on the side of the road, and she lied about telling investigators she didn't know she was pregnant.
Moss has since waived a formal arraignment on the case.
