THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT)-- A man loses his class ring in Oklahoma and woman finds it in Thomson, 58 years later. The ring was mailed off and the man who'd been looking for it all this time finally got it in the mail.
On Wednesday, Anne Caldwell mailed the ring back to Coy Sullivan. News 12 cameras were there as it happened. She told us the story of how she think it ended up four states away, in her family's possession.
When Coy Sullivan checked his mail Saturday morning, there it was--the gold class ring in a white box. After the nearly six decades, it doesn't quite fit so Sullivan will get it resized. He plans to wear it for his high school class reunion this summer.
Sullivan told News 12 he is thankful God made someone as kind as Caldwell who made sure he got his beloved jewelry back. He added, nothing beats the feeling of the lost being found.
