RICHMOND COUNTY, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- A Richmond County mom has been charged after investigators say she left two children in a hot car.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, Tonjyanicquea Wright has been charged with two counts of deprivation of a minor.

The Richmond County incident report says two people found the children inside a running car outside the Department of Family and Children's Services on Bungalow Road. The time the report listed was around 3 p.m. on Thursday.

The report said one of the people went inside the office and announced three times about the children before Wright spoke up about the children.

Wright, the report said, told people that her brother must have left the two children inside the car and went for a walk.

However, Wright then said she and her brother had gotten into an argument before she went inside the office and that he probably left the car after she went inside.

The report says the children appeared to be fine and Wright was unable to reach her brother by cell phone.

Weather reports at the time listed the temperatures at 98 degrees.

The children were turn over to DFAC.

Wright was booked at the Richmond County jail.
