AUGUSTA, Ga (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect after a shot was fired at a patrol car Saturday night.

Deputies say three deputies were clearing a traffic stop on Olive Road when they pulled behind Good Shepherd Baptist Church. According to deputies, they were standing outside their cars when they heard a 'loud pop.'

RCSO says a shot hit the rear passenger side of the car and struck the security cage inside, including the passenger's head rest.

The shot was believed to have come from the area of Jennings Homes-Cooney Circle, deputies say.

Authorities shut down Olive Road for a short time to look for the suspect, who deputies say is still at-large.
