(CNN) -- Colorado authorities have arrested a mother as they investigate the death of a 7-year-old boy.
"I'd come to the office. I'd give him candy. It just breaks my heart," said Tina Wright, a woman who saw 7-year-old Camden all the time.
Wright used to be the property manager at the Cherry Plaza Apartments where Camden and he lived with his mom, Alicia Pankey.
"They always had problems financially, paying their rent, but I always worked with them."
Just two days before Christmas, police found the boy's body in a public storage facility about a quarter of a mile away from the apartment he used to live in.
When Tina heard the news, she thought about a conversation she had with Camden's grandmother.
"Her mom came in and told me how worried she was about that little boy," Wright says, holding back her tears.
Pankey was in court this week after turning herself in to police.
