AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Aiken County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. on Bonnie Blue Drive. Investigators say a 28-year-old man was found there with gunshot wounds. A witness on scene told deputies he was shot by Christopher Shaquaan Williams, 24.

Williams and the victim apparently had gotten into a verbal fight that led to the shooting, then Williams fled.

It was later determined that the witness, 20-year-old Lachelle Guzman-Smith, conspired with Williams to try to rob the victim. She was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with attempted armed robbery.

Williams is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and attempted armed robbery.

Anyone with information on Williams' whereabouts can contact the sheriff's office at (803) 648-6811.
