Body found at home of missing Augusta man, Eddie Cruey

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Coroner's Office confirms a body has been found at the residence of the missing Augusta man, Eddie Cruey.

The coroner says the body was found buried in a yard on the 3000 blk of Jeanne Road. They say the body has been buried in the shallow grave for some time.

The identification of the body could not be made and has been sent to the GBI Lab for an autopsy and positive identification.

This case is being investigated as a homicide.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- The Richmond County Sheriff's Office confirms crime scene units are at the home of the missing Augusta man, Edward Cruey.

55-year-old Edward "Eddie" Cruey has been missing since November. Family says the last time they heard from him was on November 19th.

Investigators are at the home on Lumpkin Road near Jeannie Road. Officials would only confirm to News 12 they responded to follow up on the investigation.
