Four people unharmed after three homes catch on fire early Wednesday

AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- Four people are safe this morning after three homes went up in flames Wednesday morning.

According Augusta Fire, at about 6:30 A.M. on Wednesday, firefighters responded to a fully involved structure fire on Crawford Avenue. Once on scene, firefighters found three houses on fire.

Crews worked to save the one home and took measures to contain and put out the fire at the other two houses.

Four people inside the three homes were able to make it out uninjured.

Two of the buildings are a total loss, and the third home suffered some damage.

One person has been displaced.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, and an investigation has been launched.
