AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- Deputies are continuing to investigate after a wild high-speed chase wound its way through the CSRA on Thursday.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to an accident on Walton Way. While waiting for deputies, a spokesman said, a female pedestrian identified as Tinika Nattinger, 42, drove off in one of the cars involved in the crash.

The sheriff's office was notified and a deputy spotted Nattinger a short time later, but she would not pull over.

From there, a chase ensued from Walton Way through Lake Forest Drive and Bransford Road to Wrightsboro Road and eventually entered the westbound lanes of Bobby Jones Expressway.

The Georgia State Patrol eventually joined the chase, officials say, and was able to stop Nattinger using the PIT maneuver.

Nattinger is being charged with felony motor vehicle theft and several other charges, the sheriff's office says.
