CNN -- Two students at a Florida elementary school face expulsion after allegedly plotting to hurt one of their classmates.
Police say two fifth grade students plotted to attack and possibly murder an 11-year-old classmate on December 14th.
A tip from another student-led school officials to intervene.
The alleged target says he believed the two others intended to kill him.
A school official went through the backpack of one of the accused students and found a pair of pliers, a pocket knife with a three-inch blade, and a pipe wrench.
The students denied plans to kill the boy but one of them admitted they were going to beat him up.
Both students were suspended and recommended for expulsion.
Police issued them juvenile civil citations for conspiracy to commit battery and bringing weapons on school grounds.
