ATLANTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Four alleged victims of sex trafficking have been rescued in Atlanta ahead of the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Homeland Security says 33 people have been arrested in connection to the crimes. Sex trafficking offenders are attracted to large sporting events like the Super Bowl.

"We're ensuring that criminals don`t use these events to exploit the most vulnerable among us. We are conducting proactive human trafficking operations as we speak," said Secretary of Homeland Security, Kirstjen Nielsen.

Secretary Nielsen went on to say they've also trained businesses to look for signs of trafficking.
