Driver killed in deadly Orangeburg Co. crash

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT)-- The driver in a single car crash on North Road has died. South Carolina Highway troopers say the crash happened on Saturday, but the driver died today at the hospital.

According to SCHP, the 2002 Cadillac Escalade was going west on North Road near Shillings Bridge, around 3 a.m. on Saturday when it ran off the right side of the road. Troopers say the car overturned multiple times.

The driver was transported to Regional Medical Center then later taken to Primsa Health Richland in Columbia, where they later died from their injuries.

The driver has not been identified.
