Shots fired at an Allendale car wash, five people injured

UPDATE

ALLENDALE, S.C.(WRDW/WAGT) — Allendale Police confirm 5 people were shot at a business in Allendale last night.

They say they responded to reports of shots fired at The Allendale Car Wash on 473 Main Street South. When they arrived, police say several people were shot and taken to the hospital by in personal cars.

The Allendale County Coroner says no one was killed in this shooting.

The Allendale Police Department says they requested the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, (SLED), to conduct an investigation concerning the shooting incident.

We are working to find out information about the suspect.


ALLENDALE, S.C.(WLTX) — Several people have been injured in a shooting at a business in Allendale County, our CBS Columbia affiliate WLTX News 19 confirms.

Law enforcement says the shooting took place just before 10 p.m. Saturday in the town of Allendale. At this time, it's unclear how many people were wounded, but we understand several people had to be airlifted to the hospital for treatment.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division said their crime scene agents responded to the scene. An agency spokesman did not have any information on the severity of the injuries, although as of early Sunday morning, there were no fatalities.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation.
