A cow that escaped from a slaughterhouse-bound truck is making headlines again This time for a tiny new year's surprise no one saw coming On December 27, New Jersey traffic was halted after Brianna escaped from a truck Instead of going to the slaughterhouse, she was taken an animal sanctuary That's where the "steaks" were raised even higher.

Brianna ended up giving birth at the sanctuary just days after arriving Rescuers were reportedly unaware she was nine months pregnant when she escaped Now, thanks to bovine intervention, Brianna and her new baby, winter, are safe and sound.

Here's another daring animal rescue, this one, by a Michigan state trooper After arriving at the scene of a house fire in northern Michigan. A trooper realized a pair of Great Dane dogs were trapped inside

The trooper entered the burning house not once, but twice, and pulled both Danes out The dogs were given oxygen treatments and were sent to an animal hospital Both are expected to make a full recovery.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year's celebration and found time to take in some fireworks.

Not to mention ball drops, acorn drops, pickle drops, shoe drops, and Peep drops.
