AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW/WAGT) -- After a 3-year fight with a brain tumor, Liberty Eubanks has passed away.

The word comes Friday afternoon via Liberty's parents, Jessica and Tommy Eubanks, on Facebook.

"Liberty passed away a few hours ago," Jessica wrote. "She’s in heaven with all the other angel babies. Fly high baby girl until we meet again. Mommy, daddy and Finn love you!!!"

Liberty's ability to talk, walk, and even smile were taken away from her by the cancer. Her form of cancer, diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, also had a 10 percent survival rate in the first two years, but she made it three years.

Liberty Eubanks was 8 years old.
