(WRDW/WAGT) -- A 10-year-old Florida boy has made it his mission to honor every fallen officer across the country, including Glascock County's Deputy Joshua Ryer Jr.

Zechariah runs one mile each time a law enforcement officer loses their life on duty. Deputy Ryer is the eleventh officer honored in 2019.

The boy's goal is to run 148 miles holding a flag honoring police in 2019 while hoping to raise $15,000 for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. This is from the Foundation's Facebook page:

The Siller Family started the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.

The Foundation was built upon the mantra, "while we have time, let us DO GOOD," and continues Stephen's legacy by supporting our nation's first responders and service members.
