WARREN CO., Ga. (WRDW) -- A trial has begun for a man accused of killing his wife.

Testimony continues Wednesday with the prosecution presenting its case. The jury was selected Tuesday, according to the Clerk's Office.

In October 2014, investigators said John Alan Jacobs, 66, called deputies to his home on Golden Creek Circle saying his wife committed suicide. When deputies arrived, they found Harriette Jacobs, 53, dead with a gunshot wound to the head.

After several hours of interviews, Jacobs was arrested and charged with murder. He was being held in the McDuffie County Jail, authorities said.
