AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW)-- Golfers aren't teeing off just yet, but off the course Masters week is underway.
"Very busy just getting ready trying to make sure everything is in tip top shape around here," Morgan Jones said.
Morgan Jones at Executive Marketing Services said they use their facilities here for one thing, once every year, so they're stocking the bar and cleaning rooms to get ready for a lot of out of town guests.
"Between servers, bartenders, security, maid staff for all the homes we rent, we are hiring over 350, 400 people a year," Jones said.
Jones said with a little more than three weeks to go they're setting up tables and un-stacking chairs, but when Masters week arrives the staff will be doing a lot more than that.
"We're serving food, breakfast, lunch, afternoon hors d'oeuvres so it's a whole day affair, once people leave the course the day is not over," he said.
And all of this hard work just for the guests coming for the Masters, but Jones said it takes more than a couple of weeks or even a couple of months to have everything ready.
"A lot of people think it's Masters week, but it's really not you can tell by the preparation we have to do here it's a good three months of preparing just for the main aspect of the Masters, but it's a year long process," Jones said.
He said it only takes until the day after the Masters for the phone to start ringing again, but not everyone plans ahead. Jones said every year people wait until the last minute to call and they're all holding out for one player, Tiger Woods.
"Three weeks away and we still don't know if he's coming or not so I'm sure if he announces the phone will start ringing," Jones said.
So until then they'll keep getting everything ready and hope for the best.
"Our hope is everybody comes and it doesn't rain," he said.
Executive Marketing Services has already rented out 200 to 250 houses this year. Masters Housing has more than 400 rented out and are expecting even more.
