AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A Goodwill worker got quite a surprise when sorting through donated clothes at the store on Peach Orchard Road.

According to Barry L. Paschal, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications at Goodwill, an employee found a loaded .22 revolver yesterday.

Paschal said the worker alerted the store's manager and the manager called the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

According to Paschal, workers found about three guns a year buried inside donated items. He said they also find ammunition and collect the bullets until they have enough stock to turn over to the Sheriff's Office.
