EVANS, Ga. (WRDW) -- The Evans High School drama teacher, who investigators say confessed to sexual relations with a student, has been indicted.

Matthew David Curley, 34, is charged with sexual assault by person with supervisory authority. He was arrested in November 2015, after he allegedly confessed to the school's principal to kissing a student on the lips and performing oral sex in a classroom after hours. Investigators say they also found letters from the student in Curley's possession.

Curley resigned from his position at the school the weekend of his arrest in November.
