Bond revoked for man accused of murder after gun found in car

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- According to the Richmond County Clerk of Court, bond has been revoked for Demarco Williams after a gun was found in the car he was in when it was pulled over for a traffic stop.

According to his attorney, Williams was a passenger ion the car, but did not know there was a gun in the car. Bond was originally set for $35,000 in his murder trial, according to the Clerk of Court.

Williams now faces two new charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and failure to secure a seat belt on a minor.

Williams is accused in connection to a murder back in 2014 in the 1700 block of Cornell Street, according to Richmond County Deputies. He is accused of shooting and killing Javarius Walthour, 20.
