UPDATE | One driver facing DUI charges after Jefferson Davis Highway accident

CLEARWATER, S.C. (WRDW) -- Three people in a SUV suffered minor injuries after another SUV ran a red light going north on Jefferson Davis Parkway, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Troopers said the driver, 36-year old Dwayne Barton, and the two passengers, 36-year old Christy Esquivel and 18-year old Jose Remdeio, were all wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. They were traveling westbound on Parker Drive.

South Carolina troopers said the driver in the other SUV, 24-year old Trevonta Langford, struck Banton's car around 11:15 last night. They said Langford left the scene and was shortly located afterwards.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Langford is charged with a DUI and driving under suspension.

CLEARWATER, S.C. (WRDW) -- All eastbound lanes of Jefferson Davis Highway are closed near Parker Drive due to an accident with injuries. At least two cars are involved, according to Aiken County dispatch.

A News 12 crew on scene says the Aiken County Sheriff's Office, Midland Valley Fire Department, and South Carolina Highway Patrol are all assisting.

Crews were called to the accident just after 11:30 P.M.

We are working to find out the extent of those injuries.
