UPDATE | Condition updates on those injured in Thomson crash

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW) - We have an update on three people injured in a crash in Thomson over the weekend.

GRU tells us Brandon Kitchings, 18, has been discharged from the hospital.

They say Tammy Smith, the female passenger in the other vehicle, who was airlifted to the hospital, has been upgraded to good condition and should be released soon.

Authorities say that's when Kitchings hit a Ford Expedition driven by Lewis Smith. Smith was driving south on GA 10 towards Stagecoach Rd.

Smith is listed as being in fair condition in the hospital.

THOMSON, Ga. (WRDW) - Georgia State Patrol Officers are investigating a crash that injured three people after they say a driver ran a stop sign.

Investigators say the accident happened at the intersection of GA 10 and Stagecoach Rd. Authorities say Brandon Kitchings, 18, was driving a Ford F-150 west on Stagecoach Rd. when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign.

Authorities say that's when Kitchings hit a Ford Expedition driven by Lewis Smith. Smith was driving south on GA 10 towards Stagecoach Rd.

The collision caused the Expedition to roller over, where it stopped on the right side of the intersection.

Officers say Kitchings was thrown out of the passenger's side window and landed approximately 15 feet from the truck.

GSP says both drivers were taken by EMS to GRU Medical Center, and a female passenger was airlifted to the hospital.

No word on their conditions.
