WAGENER, S.C. (WRDW) -- Two helicopters were called to an accident with injuries on Kennedy Pond Road in Wagener, troopers confirmed.

A 1996 GMC pickup ran off the left hand side of the road, struck the embankment and overturned around 9:45 Saturday night, troopers said.

The driver, Cody Prescott, 19, has been charged with two counts felony DUI. Officers say Prescott was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries, but he has already been released and is now in the Aiken County Detention Center.

Both passengers were ejected, troopers said.

Clayton Bryant, 17, was taken by ambulance to a hospital and Allison Etheridge, 16, was flown to an area hospital. None were wearing seatbelts, officers said.

South Carolina Highway Patrol's MAIT team is investigating the accident.
