HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- Frank Burns said he was taking a shower and heard a noise, but didn't think twice about it because he thought it was firecrackers. But then he saw his cousin crawling on the floor.

"He said someone is shooting in the house and by that time I slid my pants on and went to the door to observe what was going on and I didn't see anything," Burns said.

Then he realized the shooters didn't miss.

"Came through the window, through the closet and hit the back of my TV screen, cracking my TV," he said.

Three bullet holes to the front of the house and seven in the Mercedes Benz parked outside. Deputies said they found 20 shell casings scattered across the street and in the front yard. Neighbors said the gun shots sounded like rapid fire. Some of them hid for safety and others looked out the window. Neighbors said they didn't see anyone and neither did Burns, but he said now he's looking.

"Because my house, me, myself and my family haven't done anything to anybody and to come by and shoot my house up like this, yes I want you to come back," Burns said.

He said next time, he'll be ready.

"My family members are here and any of them could have gotten hurt," Burns said. "You want me or you want me grandson then ring the damn doorbell."

But he doesn't know why anybody would target his house.

"I don't know who you were looking for or what, but it wasn't here," Burns said.

There were no injuries from the shooting, and no other house on that street was targeted. The shooting is still under investigation.

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County deputies find at least 3 bullet holes in a Hephzibah home and 7 holes in the car sitting outside.

A report says deputies were called to 3841 Fairington Drive after shots were fired through the house. Five people were inside at the time.

The people inside said they thought they heard 8 gunshots outside but could not see anything because the blinds were closed. Some had to crawl to get to safety.

One of the men inside told deputies he was involved in a shooting earlier in the month but doesn't know if the two incidents are related.

Deputies found 20 shell casings outside the home.
