Westminster's Ashley Davis signs to play college basketball

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- We can add to the growing list of area kids signing to play sports at the next level with two more taking care of the paper work today.

At Westminster, basketball standout Ashley Davis took care of her paperwork and will play at Georgia College in the Peach Belt conference.

It was the coach-player relationship that drew Davis to the Bobcat program.

"I think he reminded me of the coach I have here at Westminster. He wants a very family oriented team instead of just going for wins," Ashley Davis said.

Davis played a huge roll in the Wildcats run to the state semifinals this year. She wasn't the only basketball player to sign today, Midland Valley's Jordan Morgan inks to play at Columbia College.
